Old Fleas Vintage Fair – raunchiness, duck burgers and hula hoops

by | Art, Fashion

Even when’s it’s sweltering hot outside you can always count on the vintage lovers to be out in their finery. On Sunday 11th September, we all gathered at Old Fleas Vintage Fair at Ballhaus Berlin to scour for treasures. It was a veritable smorgasbord of trinkets, treats and nostalgia and I loved every minute.
Things got a little raunchier, with lingerie and burlesque wear available to purchase
There were stalls with goodies in abundance. Gorgeous clothing, vintage accessories and fine selection of hats meant women had plenty to splash their euros on. The setting itself was wonderfully nostalgic, once you left the sunny courtyard you were transported back in time as you entered a stunning red ballroom. The stalls continued inside where in which things got a little raunchier, with lingerie and burlesque wear available to purchase.

There was even a gentleman selling records and vintage movie posters, it was truly a retro dream. To top it off there was The Dog and Duck stand, selling ridiculously tasty duck confit burgers, which was washed down nicely be a cooling Aperol spritz from the ballroom bar.
She twirled, wiggled and kept those hula hoops moving
The organisers had really gone above and beyond, organising entertainment too. In the form of a hula hoop artist, Gwendoline Loice. Who was wearing a wonderful red polka dot dress which was torn away to reveal a scarlet bathing suit. She twirled, wiggled and kept those hula hoops moving whilst the audience clapped along.

An afternoon well spent indeed, their next fair is to be on October 2nd, so be sure to check it out, and vintage guys, don’t despair, there’s plenty for you to shop also.
