Kesselhaus Acoustics: six Tuesdays, three acoustic acts each night, sounds like a party

by | indieBerlin

Knut Acoustics is the name of the well established and much loved series of acoustic sessions held in Hamburg; the concept was brought to Berlin and Kesselhaus Acoustics was born.

Held each year now in the leafy Frannz Biergarten in the Kulturbrauerei cultural centre, behind, you guessed it, the Kesselhaus.

No entry, no late night clubs, no smoky venues, just that late afternoon sunshine, a cold beer (or glass of wine), and some pleasant sounds.

Each Tuesday from 6th June to 20th August from 6pm, three acts play snappy 30 minute sets, largely acoustic and with an absolute minimum of amplification. Flammkuchen and cold drinks are served. And it’s all about enjoying live music in a relaxed and laid back setting. No entry, no late night clubs, no smoky venues, just that late afternoon sunshine, a cold beer (or glass of wine), and some pleasant sounds.

Always very nicely curated, this year’s lineup includes – among a host of others –  Lina Maly, Antoine Villoutreix, Karl die Große, Tipps für Wilhelm, Didirri and Tom Allan & The Strangest. Want to know what all the acts sound like? Kesselhaus has generously put together a Spotify playlist of the acts to be playing over the season.

Kesselhaus Acoustics kicks off on June 9th with Tipps für Wilhelm, Didirri, and Jenniffer Kae! Entry is free! See you there!
