Festival of Lights – starts 5th of October: WIN tickets to see it from above in the Light Balloon!

by | Art, Everything Else

The Festival of Lights is rushing up fast. Why not see it from a whole other perspective this time, with free tickets to the Light Balloon experience?

I probably don’t need to tell you about the Festival of Lights, that crazy light-drenched 3D city-wide jaw-dropping mega-spectacle that’s coming to inhabit our town once again from the 4th-15th October. Having kicked off in 2008, the festival has become a fixed favourite in Berlin’s calendar of cool things to do: where a whole bunch of over-imaginative 3D projection mapping artists are unleashed upon the city, with all your favourite Berlin landmarks suddenly being turned into backdrops for frankly stunning visuals.

The Berliner Dom, the Foreign Office (Auswรคrtiges Amt), the Brandenburger Tor, the Fernsehturm (TV Tower), Bode Museum, Marienkirche, Potsdamer Platz, any number of embassies and much more – all will be suddenly draped with spectacles of light and movement.

indieBerlin is as excited as anyone about it, and we have an amazing giveaway for a pair of lucky readers too:

So back to the light balloon thing. You know that big helium balloon that floats up in the air from nearby Checkpoint Charlie regularly? Well it’ll be going up for look-sees in the middle of the festival. Want to win a couple of free tickets to go up in the balloon and look down upon the whole multi-coloured, visualtastic shebang?

Since this is a pretty exciting prize we’re going to give it to someone on our newsletter list. Want to win? Then hit this link to join our newsletter list (cool stuff and free tickets once a week, no spam no nothing) or leave a comment – and we’ll do the draw this Friday in the newsletter!
