indieBerlin is excited to announce that psychedelic outfit Triptides will be headlining Privatclub this Saturday night, with support coming in the form of Violet Fields and Aporia.
Lead by multi-instrumentatlist Glenn Brigman, the LA-based quartet have released an eyebrow-raising six full-length records to date, and they’re showing no signs of slowing down. Fresh off the release of last year’s Estrela Mágica, they’re currently pretty deep into a summer tour, with the surf-rockers dropping their latest mellow single Nirvana Now as an extra treat, you lucky things. They’re not sticking around for long, so make sure you catch them live before they head back to take the US by storm.
Support comes in the form of Violet Fields, whose punchy 90s-esque sound is sure to catch your attention. Their carefree nonchalance is totally charming, and you’ll be humming her dronal melodies all week long. Slightly grungy, slightly indie-rock – it’s difficult to define this group‘s sound. Not that you’d want to, anyway, as it’s their distinctive individuality that makes them so unashamedly intriguing.
Aporia’s sound is markedly different to the other acts scheduled to play next week – a twinklier, more relaxed style defines this music. Having released their debut EP back in 2016, we’re keen to see more from this exciting band, whose full and warm records are short but sweet: there’s no doubt in our mind that they’ve got a lot more up their sleeves.
Presented by Popmonitor, Privatclub is set to be the ideal venue for this sure-to-be packed out event. Tucked away on Skalitzer Straβe, it’s become part of the fabric of Berlin – if you’ve not had the chance to experience it yet, we strongly urge you to take this opportunity to catch a curious show there.
For your chance to win a pair of tickets, send an email to win(at)indieberlin.de before 12:00 on Friday 12th July – in the meantime, you can check out details of the event here.
