Askers Dodge grace the stage at Marie Antoinette this Thursday

by | indieBerlin

Midweek blues getting you down? Fret not, dear reader, as the ineffable Askers Dodge will be celebrating the release of their latest single No More Mondays on October 10th.

Favourites of the Basement Bash series, this exciting four-piece channel the musical lovechild of The Libertines, Arctic Monkeys and Queens of the Stone Age – a sharp and witty take on curious melodies and intelligent lyrics. Their shiny new single No More Mondays is them at their best – a punchy, guitar-heavy ode to the absolute worst day of the week.

Accompanied by Swedish dreampop outfit Little Elm, there’s a pretty notable contrast between the two artists. The in-your-face battling guitar lines of Askers Dodge is in stark juxtaposition to the softer harmonies of the former, but it definitely works. Coincidentally, Thursday night’s show also stands as Little Elm’s live debut, so we implore you to head down to Marie Antoinette and make your own minds up.

Doors are at 20:00, and there’s a handful of tickets still available, so check out more details of the event. You’ll be surprised at how many people they manage to pack in there and still leave (some) room for visceral dance moves, so make sure you get your grubby hands on a discounted one to secure your spot.

No More Mondays is out on October 11th – keep up to date with the foursome’s weird and wonderful going-ons here.
