Welsh producer and songwriter extraordinaire Cate Le Bon will be gracing Kantine am Berghain with her presence on Sunday night – and it’s sure to be a knockout of a show!
Having just released her latest record Reward via Mexican Summer a few weeks ago, Le Bon has recently embarked on a European tour, and will be touching down in sunny Berlin tomorrow evening.
Her musical style has dramatically evolved since 2009’s Me Oh My and, it’s safe to say, reflects her own growth as a person and artist. The texture of her new work is a little less minimal than earlier albums, but still maintains the effortless coolness we’ve come to know and love.
With support courtesy of Neta Polturak, she’ll be here for a fleeting visit before travelling to Copenhagen on Monday. Performing in both English and Welsh, her work is a celebration of the unique and a testament to staying true to ones own roots. Her writing is intelligent and mesmering, and you’d be a fool not to catch her performance.
