The brand-new 5-track EP by the Berlin indie formation KANN KARATE offers a brilliant mix of post-punk, indie rock and German lyrics. ´Donna Doria EP´ is released in vinyl format on CHATEAU LALA.
KANN KARATE are ERIC (vocals), Daniel (guitar), CHRIS (bass) and BASTIAN (drums) from Berlin. Since 2015, the self-confessed DIY quartet has dedicated itself to achieving an authenticity of sound – one that’s characterized by razor-sharp guitar riffs and great indie melodies, and which besides all its existential desperation, never forgets its heart.
After the band already dropped a promising musical calling card last year with the EP ´Ecke Revaler´, now ´Donna Doria´ is going into the next round. On their brand new 5-track EP, they present an extremely brilliant mix of post-punk, indie rock and German lyrics, the urgency of which has already been compared to TURBOSTAAT and VIERKANTTRETLAGER by critics.
KANN KARATE know exactly when to clench their fists and when to open them. The songs were produced by former FINDUS guitarist KRISTIAN KÜHL, who is known for his work with LEONIDEN, and ANDREAS ´ANFY´ HARTMANN (RADIO HAVANNA). Mastered by HAUKE ALBRECHT (TURBOSTAAT, KETTCAR, FINDUS).
