The Toronto-native will most likely be promoting her newest album “Tess Parks & Anton Newcombe”, which as you might deduce is a collaboration with legendary Brian Jonestown Massacre frontman Anton Newcombe.
They co-wrote most of the tracks and recorded them in Newcombe’s Cobra Studios right here in Berlin. The pair both live around these parts, so who knows, maybe we’ll be treated to a special guest appearance? (Please?)
Not much has been said yet about the somewhat-mysterious album as it’s only just been released in October of this year, but we can probably expect the usual perfect mix of dreamy shoegaze-y sound and psychedelia, Parks having been compared to a darker, edgier Hope Sandoval. Support for Tess Parks will be the amazing Berlin psych band, Voodoo Beach.
